Movie Plot: In 1963, Lee Iacocca, vice president of Ford Motor Company, proposed to buy a cash-strait Ferrari as a means to boost his car sales by participating in the 24-hour Le Mans to Henry Ford II. However, Enzo exited the Ferrari deal, as Fiat offers him a more lucrative deal, allowing him to retain his ownership of Scuderia Ferrari. In rejecting the proposed deal with Ford, Ferrari insults the company and its CEO. A furious Henry II commands his racing division to build a car to defeat Ferrari in Le Mans. For this task, Iacoca hires Shelby American owner Carol Shelby, a racing driver who won Le Mans in 1959, but was forced to retire because of her heart disease. In turn, Shelby helps Ken Miles, a hot-tempered British racer and struggling mechanic.
